Normally starting in the Fall, the UGA Club Softball season has a new start this Spring. UGA Recreational Sports decided that all gameplay for club sports would be postponed due to COVID-19 concerns. The Lady Bulldogs are now focused on preparing for the Spring season. Sophomore, Taylor Bailey, batting an astounding .472 last season, says she is excited to return to game play. Although she’s saddened to learn play won’t start until Spring 2021, she understands the reasoning behind the new start date.

During an interview, President Jessie Sutko, says she’s “pumped” for this year’s team. She has high expectations for this new roster. Jessie says that trying to decide who will be the 10th man each game will be a challenge this year, because everyone is exceptional.

The Lady Bulldogs are longing to play this fall season, but they are using this newfound time to improve team chemistry and individual skillsets. They are set to have 7 tournaments this upcoming Spring, plus post-season. The team is extremely hopeful for a great season and post-season.
